In 2014 I featured a series of blog posts introducing you to 2,014 names. For the most part they were names that were brand new to me as well. Some names may be more familiar but I found the meaning or origin or some other aspect of the name made it worthy of inclusion here. You may love some of the names, you may hate some, but hopefully you enjoy learning about all of them.

4 Girl Names for Today (Yay! Caught up) and 3 Boy Names for Friday the 21st

GIRLS

Jennabelle -  Probably originated as a nickname for girls with a name containing Jen (or Gen) such as Jennifer or Genevieve, adding "belle". My brother calls his daughter Catherine 'Caty-belle' (though she has belle in her middle name so that partly explains that) and I imagine a name like Jennabelle came about in a similar fashion.

Luzon, Philippines

Luzviminda - Filipino name, according to Wikipedia, taking three place names in the Philippine Islands  and combining them to create this female name (Luzon, Visayas, Mindinao).

Maggielean -

Nanita-

BOYS

Keandre

Osten

Pedran- There is a river named this in Wales.
