St. Bartholomew's martyrdom
Barthélemy or Barthélémy - French, from the Aramaic name Bar-Tolmay, which means "son of Tolmay" or "son of the furrows". The English equivalent is Bartholomew which comes from the Greek "Bartholomaios", which comes from the Aramaic Bar-Tolmay. Saint Barthelemy is a Caribbean Island, more commonly known as St. Bart's.
