In 2014 I featured a series of blog posts introducing you to 2,014 names. For the most part they were names that were brand new to me as well. Some names may be more familiar but I found the meaning or origin or some other aspect of the name made it worthy of inclusion here. You may love some of the names, you may hate some, but hopefully you enjoy learning about all of them.

Van Gogh


Vincent Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists. I love so many things about the way he paints. The curvy lines and thick black outlines and bright colors and absence of intricate detail or the need to make it feel realistic make his art seem childlike, yet they convey such powerful emotions and beautiful interpretations of life.

If you could only hang one Van Gogh in your house, which would it be?

    Yeah van Gogh is pretty cool with his approach to art. I would say I love the use of color it is really vibrant and happy.
    I don't know which one I would hang I would have to get back to you on that.
