Velda - This appears as a surname in Devonshire, England, first found in 1370, for the Bailiff of Kingsbridge, John Velda. The surname is related also to Veale, Vele, Veel, and Vela. Commin, Exeter, England.

There is also the Dutch surname Van de Velde.

Arad - Hebrew, meaning "wild ox".

Bernat - Catalan form of the Germanic name Berinhard meaning "strong as a bear".

Cheyenne - English form of the Dakota Sioux name "sahiyena" for a Native American tribe. It means "little sahiya". This is not what the Cheyenne people called themselves however.

It is also the name of a town in Wyoming.
